I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving break! Even though the holiday is over, it’s never a bad time to show some gratitude. Give thanks for what you have everyday, not just once a year! Start a gratitude journal or devote a couple minutes in your morning routine to think of what you are thankful for.
Month: November 2018
3ast Pet Board
As we approach the holidays, I’m sure most of you are missing home. What reminds us more of home than the pets we hold dearly in our hearts? Here’s a bulletin board for everyone missing their pets. Don’t see your’s up there? Email me a picture of them and I’ll put it up! Have a good Thanksgiving everyone!
Decorate A Mug
What a great turnout! I personally lost count of how many people attended this event. Residents of Wilgus and Dobson teamed up to create personal stickers for mugs. Thank you to Natalie and Contessa for running the cricuts and making everything run smoothly!
Voting Booth
Did you vote today? Thank you for everyone who stopped by and got a cookie and asked questions about voting. Perhaps you’re watching the governors spot ping-ponging back and forth as the last few precincts report, but I hope everyone who wanted to was able to cast a ballot and add their input to our government.
Study Break
As the semester continues, make sure to make time for yourself. Thank you to everyone who came to let their brain unwind for a little while with the all hall Study Break event! It was really great seeing everyone have a good time and learn a new game or two. Want to take a quick break from studying but not procrastinate? Here’s a few tips!
- Set a timer for your break to make sure you don’t get distracted and forget about your homework
- Don’t go on your phone! They are very distracting. Try studying with your phone across the room from you and out of arms reach.
- Take a walk. Go up and down the hall, grab a drink. Stretching your legs can help keep you focused and refreshed. It will give your mind time to relax but won’t keep you from your work for long.
Poop Emoji Door Decs
Hey everyone! I hope your semester is going well. Make sure to take time for yourself so you don’t feel like poop! Come to Study Break tonight at 6PM in the LCCR. I know you’ve all been working hard, take some time for you!
Reverse Trick-or-Treating
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you had a fun, safe day. I had a great time handing out candy to all the people that were here to attend. I love that you guys really got into the Halloween spirit, and thank you to all who participated in the door decorating contest.
